Your saved source files, transcripts, compiled knowledge and local questions remain on your iPhone. LocalBrain has no account system or cloud sync. You control the material you add and when you ask about it.
What offline means in practice
Download the local model first, over a connection you choose. After setup, your stored knowledge and local AI questions work without a network. Importing a web page and choosing web search still need a connection; these are explicit actions.
Private transcription has a clear boundary
Audio recognition requires an on-device speech language supported by your iPhone. Supported languages may require an initial download of system speech assets. Your saved audio remains available if processing fails; it is not sent to a cloud transcription service.

Share a note, a document or an audio recording. For audio, open LocalBrain and tap Start to transcribe. Review the result and choose Save to knowledge base, then ask a specific question about what you saved. Keep the original evidence one tap away.
